How to Handle Rejection

When you encounter rejection, it sparks the same regions of your brain as physical pain may. This is because seems like a setback to your self-pride, and can result in feelings of shame, guilt, strain and sadness. It can also allow you to feel unhappy, especially if you commence to put up surfaces or think badly of yourself. Thank goodness, you can learn to handle rejection.

First, you have to acknowledge the hurt and grieve losing in whatever way you need to (without hurting others). It might be helpful to sit and journal regarding all your emotions (positive and negative), including what’s going on with the individual who declined you. Getting the space to show your feelings will help you get some range from them and be able to respond more objectively to the condition.
