In INSIDE Studio 2 five students had the opportunity to go to Gent for two weeks and contribute to the Architecture/Theatre installation HALL05, produced by the Dutch-Belgian collective TAAT (Breg Horemans & Gert-Jan Stam). The installation is a Do-It-Together theatrical installation for which students from KABK The Hague and KASK Gent School of Art joined forces.

Located in the interior of the historic Sint Niklaas-church, HALL05 wants to address the value of real people meeting each other in real space. Without the use of words.

As students we had the opportunity to really collaborate in the design process from the beginning till the end, and building the installation with our own hands. A challenge to get into the theatre approach and to get the building skills, that made us stronger as designers and closer as a team.

During the opening night on the 12th of November the other 9 first year INSIDE students joined us for a moderated meeting with theatre maker and actress Pascale Platel and interior designer Élise Van Thuyne. The students could also experience the installation, a play for two that allows participants to explore interaction on a human scale.
