24h. Superuse Workshop
24 Hour Workshop.
The 24H workshop was created to facilitate a nonstop designing process that ends with a product in a short period of time. The theme for the workshop held on 3RD and 4TH of March 2013 was FLOWS and lead by SUPERUSE STUDIOS and REFUNC.
First of all the material to work from was chosen– 100s of old pc monitors, which were brought to the INSIDE studio at KABK, then it all started! Participants were working in small groups to sort the monitors into separate collections determined by brand. At the beginning all monitors had to be disassembled, to see how they are made and how can be reused. Later all groups started to experiment with combining different parts to build one solid construction. The Working process was mixed with lectures and presentations and “spiced” with nice food, drinks and indeed a wonderful creative atmosphere. Towards the end of the workshop in the morning participants presented their creations and after a breakfast with a discussion, works were loaded to a track and taken away to the Gemeente Museum in The Hague for the exhibition.
“Ja, Natuurlijk” is an international event-exhibition about how art saves the world. It is open from 15.03.2013 until 16.08.2013 and more than 80 artists took a part it. INSIDE is proud being a part of it too!
